Go with "curvy" girl.! That sounds better than a few extra pounds.

honestly, it doesn't matter. as a fellow online dater (and a man) i don't read the one line details other than religion and kids. they're going to look at the pictures, interests, and the essay, not much else.

Do you have the source for your finding? That is not true for the majority of men..

OP, definitely don't put average...whatever the next option up is.. I've been on 5-7 dates that the woman puts average, has pics from the chest / neck up and when I meet them, they are fat / overweight...not good, not cool

I can see how this would be disappointing and a bit on the shady side but I guess that loneliness can make people do shady things.

OP, medically you are not considered obese but if yoy use the BMI scale, you are only a couple of pointa away from this so you can't put average. In your defense, the BMI scale is flawed enough. It doesn't take into account the distribution of weight and those who make be bodybuilders.

yeah, what i look at, that's my source. and why wouldn't it be? you said yourself, they put average, and then you find out they lied about it.

why would you ignore the pictures to look at what someone answered in a a/b/c/d question.

Whenever I see "a little extra" my mind reads it as "quite a lot extra". It's a silly euphemism and I don't think it's as cute as I think the person who came up with the phrase thinks it is. Pick anything else!

Yes... while the average American is overweight, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting that.

I'm going to do my best to get lots of pictures. They really do speak more than a drop-down box.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. One of the match questions was "What's worse on a first date, no physical attraction or nothing to talk about?" I chose nothing to talk about and said in the explanation field "Dating can be an adventure. There may not always be a spark, but if you can talk to each other the night wasn't a waste."
