Strength of Heart Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I've had eyes on this girl in one of my college courses the whole semester and I talked to her quite a bit during class. Today, after our last class, I hung out with her for a good hour before she had to leave for her next class. My problem was always breaking the ice with girls, but I did great today with this girl. I kept great eye contact, smiled a lot, made jokes, talked about her interests and my interests. Before she left for her class, I asked for her number and got it. I waited a few hours before texting her, just letting her know it was me so she could add the number to her phone book and we've been having some small talk for the past few hours. I've been waiting a good 15-25 minutes before responding to messages, I don't want to come off as too excited and all that stuff. Cutting to the chase, however. I'd like to ask this girl out on a date, but I really don't know how or when I should do this. I've heard that asking her through text is a big no no and thats completely understandable. I probably wont really see her in person anymore because the class I had with her just ended today. I was thinking I should call her and ask, but how do I do this? Should I text her and ask her if shes busy/wants to talk on the phone? Or should I just call her without asking? Considering I just got her number today, do you think I should wait a few days before talking to her again and then calling her? Any experienced advice would be appreciated, I'm just happy I actually got a girls number and handled the whole thing so well. I'm a good looking guy thats very charming once I get to know someone, but my initial shy factor has always been a problem for me that I am working on. If she were to say no then it'd be fine, I more so want to do this so I can become more confident with doing it in general.

Give her a call up to just talk at first, see how the convo goes, (ask her how her finals went =P) and if it goes well then at the end see if shed like to hang out, meet up for coffee or whatever you like, celebrate the end of finals, etc. or if your friends are hanging out after finals with bowling/mall/downtown walking or something invite her to come too. you also want to make sure you legit like her too rather than based off of one great convo with her xD butterflies in MY stomach !!
