Hi all

Just wondering what excuses people have used to end a date that's not going well. Ive just been on a few so-so dates lately (met from a dating site) and I actually feel bad when I tell them my lie of having to go so early:p I tell them, Ive got a dinner to go to or to catch my train that only comes every half hour ( I live an hour away from the city).

Also, Ive been letting dates last between an hour to 90 minutes. I mean has anyone here ever had a shorter date than an hour? Ive just met guys that have clearly lied about their height or look nothing like their picture-so big turn off. So the second I meet them, I want the date to be over. Whats a good excuse for ending a date in less than half hour?

You could just say, "Thanks for meeting me. You seem sweet and nice (letting them down easy), but I'm not feeling a love connection. Rather than waste our time, I'm just going to get going. Best of luck to you" . . . I think most guys would appreciate this.

Or if you want to leave them with the idea that it's not them "I just received a text from a family member that someone we know is in the hospital. I have to leave right away to go visit them"

I agree with guy.. being honest is best b/c then the won't expect another date in the future. you both can just move onto the next.
