rawrish Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 I just got dumped by my boyfriend of 8 months because he is moving away. This was the first guy I have ever had real, genuine feelings for. I was ready to tell him I loved him. I'm not mad at him, because it seemed like he didn't want to break up with me but he didn't want to be in a long distance relationship. He broke up with me about a month ago, and all I can think about is him. I miss him so badly it hurts. I see him every day and we act like everything is fine. I have to see him every day until he moves. We speak occasionally, and it just hurts me so badly. The other day he pulled me aside and asked me if I hated him. I told him no. He asked if we could start over and be friends again, and I said yes. As soon as I walked away, the tears began to flow down my cheeks. According to a friend that both of us have, he is quite sad about the break up as well. It's not like he was my first boyfriend, but he was definitely my first love. I'm so lonely and depressed. You know how they say "Being lonely does not necessarily mean you are alone" ? It's completely true. I feel lonely and depressed all the time, even though I am surrounded by friends. They don't seem to know how to make me feel any better. All they can say is "There are plenty of other fish in the sea." I'm a newcomer to this forum, and I'm hoping I could get a little bit of advice. I'm sorry I wrote so much.
rayne05us Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Oh wow, I'm so sorry...this is very unfortunate. I'm sure it must be hard because it's not like anything really went wrong. If you don't mind me asking, how far is her moving away?
Author rawrish Posted May 15, 2011 Author Posted May 15, 2011 He's moving to Mexico to live with his mom.
rayne05us Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Oh wow....well You never know what could happen, but I think in your case because of the distance and because you're still in love with him take alot of time for yourself to process your feelings. Maybe it may be best to not have contact for a while until your are in a better place emotionally. Try to spend time with your friends and family to fill up some free time. This will get better. I'm sure otherw will respond to give you some advice.
