Nothing wrong with that. Then guys on LS who can't get any dates in real life would PM them. So this is exactly what is happening in reality too. The pretty girls in the world get approached by men. The ugly ones don't. Online, you'd think there would only be ugly girls rite? No. There'll be pretty girls who'd be what the online guys would go for, leaving the ugly girls alone. So ugly girls=no guys no matter where they are.

As a guy, is it such a crazy idea to see a hot member on a forum on her avatar and not want to send her a PM?

Your only making your case sound more ridiculous. Yes on dating websites guys go for the better looking ones. Here on LS, you offer no proof, you have no argument. Clear as crystal Yes, men go for looks. Men are visual creatures, its who we are, theres no denying it. But just because men go for pretty girls online, doesn't mean they do on LS.

Well yeah, unless she lived in the guy's immediate area. If PMs were available as soon as someone joined the site, I would understand. However, the way the site is set up sort of self selects against the sort of people who would sign up to hit on someone who had a hot avatar. Also, you claimed that guys who can't get dates in real life are sending messages to attractive women. Many guys like that are afraid to ask out women that they've known for months. Why would they have the confidence to ask out someone on an internet forum where the chances of success are infinitesimal?

The heaviest visible (public, in the threads) flirting I see on here happens between posters who've been there for each other in times of needs. It's almost like flirting at the office. It's meant to amuse, cheer up and raise the other poster's spirit. Our resident couple, Citizen Erased and Pyro, were definitely there for each other through thick and thin. Yes, they're both good looking people, but the way I see it, their shared sense of humor was as much of a factor in their attraction as their looks. If it was you in your avatar awhile back, you're also pretty. So tell me: has anyone hit on you? Is that how you know guys hit on girls here on LS?

It's something like about a month and 70 posts (approximately). If that is you in your avatar, you have to come back once you get the PM privilege to report on Orangelady's hypothesis. We also want to know if Johan is going to lay some on you. edit: Art Critic is probably right about the 100 - 150 posts.

I don't think I get any special treatment for my pic being up. although, I may not be attractive to certain men on here. to each their own. I just want honest responses and sometimes they can be harsh.
