There's no point regretting the time you wasted on him, what you have to concentrate on is that you're not happy being the OW.

Did he ever let you believe he was going to end his marriage?

Yes, all the time and right up until the very end, in fact in one of the emails I got in the week before she phoned me he said 'don't give up on us'.

Oh if I had an English pound for every time I'd heard that line! I certainly wouldn't need a job!

What did she say when she called you?

She said a lot around why was I keeping on chasing him when he'd said to me he wanted to work on his marriage, and she insisted I had a boyfriend, and it was obvious he'd totally lied about me and made me out to be some stalking crazy woman and I was too gutted to do anything but say an awful lot other than that I didn't have a boyfriend and that I'd never made him do anything.

An hour later I got a mail from him saying she's going mental and threatening to call you, please say nothing. Grrr.

Oh dear, you are well out of that! I had a very strange conversation with the BS once too, and although he was asking you not to say anything for his own selfish reasons, it is actually better to say nothing because they only believe what they want to believe, basically the crap MM is feeding them!

Yeah, I'm sure if I'd had him by my side insisting that she was lying and just trying to break me and him up and black was white etc I probably would've believed him too, because I would've wanted to.

Better off out of it all, I did manage to start thinking that last week, but then I got angry and upset all over again.
