Cee Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 My boyfriend called me this morning to tell me I inspired him to create a computer application. He bought a domain name and was up all night coding. He was inspired by a joke I made to him. He said I was his muse. I am glowing with delight right now. I am so flattered and happy for him. I hope the app works and takes off. It's cool to inspire my BF to create something with his computer programming talent. Does anybody want to share their stories of being or having a muse?
EasyHeart Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 If he truly loved you, he would assign half his rights in the application to you. If he doesn't, he's all talk.

Haha, very nice! Feel free to share the domain name here, once it's done.
Author Cee Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) women piss on other women's parades. news at 11. Easy Heart is a guy (I think) and he was giving good advice. I will bring up the issue of software rights later with the BF, perhaps during sex. Utterer - If this application gets done and gets decent reviews from his peers, I will post up the domain name. I hope it works because it's a great idea. Edited May 13, 2011 by Cee
denise_xo Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 I don't think I've ever been anyone's muse, but I just wanted to chime in and say that your OP is really cute
LeaningIntoTheMuse Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Music, friends, and family are my muse. Also, any new Stephen King book out there.
EasyHeart Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Easy Heart is a guy (I think)I think so, too. Lemme check. * * * * * * * * * Yup, definitely a guy!
tigressA Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Aw, that's really cute! Definitely bring up software rights, though. You should get some credit, especially if it does take off. I'm curious to find out what it is. As far as being a muse...I briefly dated a guy I had met online about a year and a half ago--he was gorgeous and a really talented photographer, but a player. On our second (overnight) date he took some artsy-yet-fairly-risque pictures of me that I still have. He wanted me to be his muse and have us "create art" together; I wanted that and him to be my boyfriend, which wasn't going to happen, so we parted ways at my insistence. Sometimes I look back and wonder what magic may have happened if I had stuck around for a little while longer.
LeaningIntoTheMuse Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 As far as being a muse Did someone mention my name? But also, as far as having people who are muses, I have a good male friend that I can consider a "muse." We are so alike, it's scary. And I've had people in my life before that have been muses. And several other people in my life who have balanced out my life. A muse doesn't have to be a relationship partner. It can just be a good friend.
Stung Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 That's very cool, Cee. What a fun and inspiring note to hit in a relationship. I was a muse to a photographer, once, and to a CD-ROM games designer. And I have inspired my husband to work on a gaming project, too, but he is going to be doing it with me, not for me or solely because of me, so I'm not sure if muse applies, I think now I'm more like a co-conspirator. Ironically I'm not even a gamer, but I am interested in some of the aspects of the creation.
nordic Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 I think so, too. Lemme check. * * * * * * * * * Yup, definitely a guy! took you soem time to check i think:-)

My boyfriend is my muse, but so are my friends and my sister. As for the software update, the boyfriend has hit a snag. There's already another product out there that is big (but crappy, imo). But I tell him to persevere because his idea might evolve into something bigger and better. I'll keep you posted.
Intricategirl Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 I think it's very cute. I wouldn't even care about software rights. Just knowing that I'm the inspiration for it would be cool all on its own.
