AstroZombie138 Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I haven't posted on here in a while but I thought I'd share a bit. I met a girl at a bar a few weeks ago (Good Friday) and we seemed to have instant chemistry. We chatted/flirted but I had to leave soon after because I was on bar crawl for my friend's birthday. Before I left we did a shot together and she gave me my phone number. We texted back and forth as the night went on. We talked on the phone a couple of times over the weekend and set up a date that Tuesday (I think I set up this account that Sunday or Monday). We've had several dates and the chemistry has been really good and we make each other laugh. While I was pretty sure our attraction was mutual I never knew how to go in for that first date. Meanwhile I had friends and family saying "Why haven't you kissed her yet?", blah, blah, blah... We had an impromptu meet-up on Monday. After deciding to go in for the kiss then chickening out a few times, I finally decided to just ask her if it was alright if I kissed her. She said "Yes" and it was "awkwardly sweet" (ope-mouth, no tongue). We were both kind of yammering fools afterward but it was very nice. Just some background, I tend to be a slut when it comes to girls so the waiting was a nice change of pace. She's really Christian (I'm not) so I'd been trying to gauge what her pace is physically. One thing about this girl that I think is weird is that she lied to me about her age. She told me she was 27 when she's actually 29. I think she thought I was younger than I really am (I'm 34 but can pass for mid-20's). Just hoping this early lie is more of a personality quirk than a red flag.
guy777 Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I never lie about my age, but I'm reading so many posts about people doing this. I hope I don't start getting some ideas
Rinnix Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Glad that you had a good time. It's sweet getting that giddy feeling. Did you ask her why she lied about her age? I also hope its not a flag.
Author AstroZombie138 Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 Did you ask her why she lied about her age? I also hope its not a flag. I did ask but her response seemed kind of flimsy/flaky to me. She said she "feels 27" so when we were talking about age she told me the age that she felt. I'm friends with her on Facebook but found her myspace profile which she doesn't really use anymore (does anyone?). The myspace profile had the older age on it so I asked her about it.

Theres no reason to be ashamed of age, especially how many people are looking better and better. Just keep a eye open for anymore flags, otherwise enjoy your time. (My myspace actually says I'm much older. )
Author AstroZombie138 Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 Yeah, for now I'm chalking it up to quirkiness and I told her I'd giver her s*** for it. A more recent development is that her car broke down and I lent her mine as I have another I can borrow from my parents. Hope I wasn't being overly chivalrous...
Rinnix Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 That is rather chivalrous. I don't think id trust anyone with a car until I've been with them for quite sometime. She is greatful though? Just make sure the car comes home.
Author AstroZombie138 Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 ^I made sure to ask her about her recent driving history She said she's going to buy a new car on Sunday so I'll get it back then. She also said she'd return mine with a full tank of gas and take it to the carwash. I feel good about lending her the car but I'm also well aware of the risk.
nyc_guy2003 Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 She said she "feels 27" so when we were talking about age she told me the age that she felt. So if she was feeling 40 that day would she have said she was 40?
Author AstroZombie138 Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 So if she was feeling 40 that day would she have said she was 40? She's had a rough past couple of days with work, her car breaking down, and losing out on a house she wanted to sign for. When I saw her last night I asked her how old she felt and she said 43.
