...granted my ex used to work here but that was over 5 months ago and now he comes into the building every few days to say hi to old physicians and people he used to work with (this is an outpatient hospital setting). He always ends up walking by me in clinic.

Technically he shouldn't even be allowed up here because he does not work here anymore and it is a patient/staff restricted area but he walks around like he owns the place and since he has old work buddies here - nobody minds. I've been no contact since we broke up 7 months ago and always duck in a room or pretend i don't see him when he goes by but it's causing so much anxiety! I never know when I come into work if I'm going to have to see him.

Do I break NC to tell him what he is doing is unacceptable?

Please go to HR Dept and tell them of the situation. You may want to get a restraining order, in which case he couldn't come near your job. If he wants to see old friends, let him do so off the job.

He is trying to bug you, don't let him.

Thanks. I do feel a restraining order is pretty extreme. I don't feel in danger but I thought about telling my bosses or security. The back clinic areas (where he comes and can see me) is not open to the public - being an outpatient hospital facility you have to be staff/patient related.

He has no business being there, it's a hospital that he hasn't worked at for months and months, not a tanning salon or some place he's a customer... and I'm ready to just up and tell him next time I see him.
