jason.sol Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Well, I had the opportunity to spend a few weeks with an amazing women. Really sweet, caring, made me feel like a million bucks. Sadly she is from a different part of the world than me. I wish I could of taken it farther but it was not possible... I wish things like that weren't so complicated. I wish I could of shown her more how special she really was, even if it was only for a short time. I just miss her errrr. Has this happened to you guys? What did you do? I think a cross culture long distance relationship is out of the question...
Mr.Raindrop Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 (edited) This happened to me about... two years ago? Damn. It all seems like a blur now! The story began when I met an amazing girl from Norway. We talked for months, and it gradually started to evolve into something more; I started to care deeply for her. Before meeting her, I never really believed in love, but she really made me think twice about my opinion on that! She was basically my "other half", and after about a year of knowing each other, she decided the distance was just too great and we called it off. This was the first time I actually felt "love", or whatever you want to call it, for another person, so I was devastated and took it really hard. It got to the point where it was unhealthy for me, but after awhile our lives got busy and we both moved on. We still keep in touch from time to time now, and we're still good friends, but the romantic part of that relationship is forever gone now. Since then, I made an oath to myself to never allow myself to depend on someone like that again. But yes, I agree with you! Long distance relationships are out of the question! They simply don't work. Edited May 13, 2011 by Mr.Raindrop
little.skittles Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Sometimes people come into our lives for reasons bigger than we even know. Maybe someday you'll figure out why or you'll spend the rest of your life trying to figure it out. Whatever the results, there is a reason.
