westernxer Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 The hygienist asked about my teeth before she began cleaning. I told her they were fine, the least of my problems actually. She asked what other problems I was referring to, in a friendly, non-invasive manner. I've been visiting that office several years now, enough time for her to become familiar with me as a person and not just another patient. I didn't get into specifics but hinted at generalities. Nothing to fret over, I said, smiling as brightly as possible, hoping to stave off further discussion. She commenced with the cleaning, said my teeth were fine, then had the dentist do a quick inspection. Good to go, he said. My gums felt a little raw though, and hours later I found myself spitting blood into the sink.
whichwayisup Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I hope the blood was gone by the next day? Like how much blood are you talking about? Update me, man!
Art_Critic Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Maybe you should have told her everything.. That'll teach you.. Man I hate going to the Dentist.. Sounds like they were hard on your gumline with the tools.. Hope it feels better tomorrow

Author westernxer Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 My teeth are actually in great shape, just the routine checkup. I'm really consistent in flossing and what have you, but I still dread the experience of going, with all those scraping tools going in and out of my mouth (oh, another one, still?). Gums are fine now though. And, yes, I do think my hygienist is a bit on the rough side, probably because I'm her quickest visit. LOL
