JoeNewbie Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I haven't been here in a while as I was in a happy relationship. To make a long story short, I got dumped after the holidays and started seeing this friend of a friend. She helped me through my rough weeks by listening to me and by giving me affection. On the other hand, she was always clear that there is nothing between us and not to fall in love with her. I know she sees other people although she has been spending more and more time at my place. Sex is hot and passionate and we usually talk for hours afterwards. We decided to go on a road trip this summer and will visit major cities from New York to Los Angeles. We'll be intimate for a number of consecutive nights and it's making me a bit nervous. I'm afraid of falling in love with her but at the same time I'll never know what she might feel for me if I don't go on this trip. Is it really possible for a woman to not have any feelings in this context?

Not if you play your cards right and here is how you should play those cards: Absolutely kill her with kindness! Make sure you are a perfect gentleman. Always be nice to this one. Never yell at her or argue with her. When she ticks you off or becomes very cold, back off and back of well while always maintaining your composure. You are about to become a legend in her mind. Just be patient while tearing down those walls. Patience is the key in this case and never being smothering or whiny. This does not mean you should be a pushover!

Lately she has been skipping work and ditching her best friend to spend the evening with me. We've also reached a new level sexually speaking and other than the 30 seconds where she reminds me that we're not together, this feels like a great connection to me.
Author JoeNewbie Posted May 8, 2011 Author Posted May 8, 2011 If you have to worry about falling in love with her then chances are you already are in love. To her it could be no more than a fwb. I'm not in love because I'm constantly reminded not to fall in love with her. However I really respect her because she cares that I don't get hurt.

Just ignore her when she says this. I know, this sounds counterintuitive but not in situations like this. You are already in and now it is time to put your stamp on it. Just keep killing her with kindness.
