LostInTurn Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Hi, Ok, I'm not really sure how to explain this, but... have any of you ever come across someone and kicked yourself later for not asking their name or for their number? Well, today I came across this guy briefly. The moment I walked away, I knew I should have turned back. Is it completely ridiculous to want to post on Craigslist where people are looking for people they met, but didn't get a number for? I don't know how this would be received if he did find out about it. This is not something I would typically do, but I don't know what else I should do. Thoughts?
CaliGuy Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Move on to the next one. No sense in crying over spilled milk. That's ONE guy out of BILLIONS. If it was meant to be, one of you would have acted. My thought? Forget about it.

Do you have a more local version of a missed connection on a website of the metropolitan area where you live (I do). Otherwise, you need to drop it and learn from it. BTW, this is how I met my ex. Had a crush on him and ultimately introduced myself. It wasn't completely random, as he was in the workplace, but I didn't know him from Adam. My heart was pounding out of my chest the day I got up the nerve to approach him. It took a lot of nerve, but the reasoning I used was as you feel, not wanting to have any regrets if he left the workplace and I missed the chance to get to know him. For all I knew he had a GF, but he didn't, and he pursued me, and the rest is history. Learn from what happened, but move on. Next time you'll have the presence of mind to say something.
