My ex of 8 years finished with me before Christmas and its been 5 months now.

 

He met someone straight afterwards and still with the new guy. Its 4-5 months now. Are they in a rebound?

 

Secondly, he says that he does not have the chemistry/ spark with me anymore and is feeling it with the new guy. Can these feelings come back?

 

or once it is gone, they are gone forever?

We have contacts during these times. I cannot say frequent but they are more than limited contacts.

 

Well, some of the contacts are due to the fact that we own a place together (he moved out).

 

Other contacts are to catch up to see how I am.

 

He still cares a lot about me and have feelings for me he admitted. It was the relationship that was not working.

 

But then, these feelings are not enough to have him back with me. to him, I am probably more of a relatives to him.
