jordkorn
Just a general question. Has anyone tried E-Harmony or any other online dating website? Are they worth the costs. It is alot easier to meet people that way especially when you are shy.
TheLoneSock
Are they worth the costs. No, it is not. They sell you the idea that you can pay up to 60 bucks on a single date trying to figure out if you're into someone, or you can spend 60 bucks on a one month e-Harmony membership where they 'guarantee' you will find someone you're compatible with. Obviously the smarter choice would be e-Harmony, right? I still don't think so. It's still too expensive IMO. When it comes down to it it's a business and they will make money off of you any way they can - regardless of what their mission statement says. They have turned love into a product. crazyd
I don't believe it is worth the cost, but that's just my take. Mileage may vary based on the individual. It comes down to if you have the money to spend on a membership, a willingness to part with said money, and the effort you put into it. There's no point paying for a membership if you're not putting in the effort to make online dating work. Edited May 7, 2011 by crazyd
bareclaw
I've been a member for a month. I met one decent date and one very good date. While I'm not sure if things will work out with the best one, I will say we have way more in common and get along better than any of my exes and I did. Of course, I also got in for $20/mo.
