soserious1 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Spring is here and along with high school and college graduations there seems to be another less publicized but highly anticipated event! People in their late 40's and 50's announcing divorces just as soon as the now adult kids have finished collecting those diploma's. I've got 2 colleagues who are planning on announcing divorce over the next couple of months.
Author soserious1 Posted May 4, 2011 Author Posted May 4, 2011 (edited) ....it's unfortunate but that's actual fact. A lot of people are just waiting for that last child to go to college or finish college to call it quits! That's sad! I disagree.. if the kids have been well reared without the use of tax dollars & have finished their educations & are launched, the parents have done their duty, they've served their sentences and should be allowed the option of parole from each other if the marriage no longer fits their needs. People now can live well into their 80's and 90's the prospect of spending another 30-40 years with somebody you don't like after your kids are grown is a pretty daunting task.
