LeaningIntoTheMuse Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I really like this girl though and I'm going to miss her. What exactly do you like about her? She doesn't want to be around you. She's rude to you when you try to talk to her, she gets the department head involved, she actively dislikes you. Is it because she's hot? I'll bet that it is! Listen, hot girls are a dime a dozen. I see plenty of them wherever I go. I even have seen them at the hospital when I have been visiting my elderly grandma. It's clear to me that it's not because you like her, for her. You just want her for sex. In other words, hire a hooker and leave this poor woman alone. She doesn't want you.

Also it's because she's older too, but doesn't look it. Also something about her personality too. I feel she can be very interesting outside of work. How do you think she views me when I hitted on her? I mean does she think I hit on her because I like her as a person?
Mrlonelyone Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Don't ask anything. The department head would tell you what we have all told you. The teacher could not say yes, and keep her job, even if she wanted to. However if you do buy her something. Buy her a card and nothing more. Women really do value little things like that. If you get something more expensive then they obsess over "what does he want" etc etc and act as if you just proposed marriage or something. Just send a card and otherwise ignore her. I see she teaches Drama and acting etc. No wonder! It is a theory in psychology that such people who work in drama also tend to live with more drama than average. Everyone brings their work home with them a bit...in their case it's something that makes interpersonal relationships more complicated than they need to be.
oaks Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Should I ask the dept head if it's ok to or not? I already told you to do this in the thread you started on April 16th on the same topic.

I do tend to notice in my schooling teachers who teach subjects like English, literature, art and drama tend to be on the liberalish and emotional thinking side. They think and act more with their emotions than use logic like Math, Science, Chemistry.
LexiB Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Well she's artsy, liberalish and teaches drama, acting. Maybe a DVD of her favorite play or movie. Might take some investigative work if you don't know what it is already. Try asking the department head. If that turns up a dead end, maybe you can write a mini screenplay for her paralleling your experience in the class. This way you can make the depths of your feelings for this girl clear and let her see how harsh she's been to you over all this. I know you already have a 95 in the class but you may get extra credit if you act it out for her too. Maybe the dept. head could help again by playing the role of your teacher? She seems to want peace between the two of you and this could be kind of therapeutic. Like role play in couples' counseling. Hmm. Don't worry OG; we'll figure this out.

Mme. Chaucer Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Buy her a 4 carat minimum diamond ring in a platinum setting, please.
TheyCallMeBruce Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 There's no way this is real. No one could be this dense.
Author one goal Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 The dept head just replied to me. I understand the intent of the gift and that is such a nice thought. However, professors are not allowed to accept gifts from students. I think it would be nice Tom if you told her at the end of class how much you enjoyed it. That would be an appropriate gesture. And thanks so much for asking me first. Anytime.
somedude81 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Well Tom, you have your answer. Just don't do anything too extreme.
Author one goal Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 Well Tom, you have your answer. Just don't do anything too extreme. True. I can see why because of favortisim and grades. Although I'm doing good in her class. I'm glad I asked. If I didn't know about the rule and went ahead and gave her a gift she might have went balistic and claim harassment and took action!
LeaningIntoTheMuse Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Trolls, spambots, and inflammatory posts. I can see why I should leave this place. Nobody here is healthy. This will be my last post here, I'm returning to ENA. I realize this is off topic. But since none of this onegoal's tale is real, I am spamming off topic in a troll thread.
collegeguy_24 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 There's no way this is real. No one could be this dense. I know right? This has to be a joke, or he is perhaps the most dense human on the face of this planet. Which is saying something, I've seen quite a few of them.

Lucky. And I say, write her a poem, and read it for her. Bonus points if you can make it into a song and play guitar with it! Even more bonus points if you include the words "love" "student" and "beautiful" and the phrase "I'm not a stalker!" That way..you're not spending any money on her, and she can't refuse it
Author one goal Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 the dept head is not a mean lady, but she is really loud and blunt when she talks. She reminds me of Roseanne. Really loud and obnoxious, but not mean. It was embarassing when I met with her because she had her door wide open and the entire English offices could hear it, and maybe even the teacher if she was in her office down the hall. She tore into me though sticking up for the teachers. It was only like 800 ish when I emailed her. At my school dept heads are teachers. They do both. They're not deans. They just teach less classes. I just worry when I do talk to her after class, that she will initially take it the wrong way and be defensive. Lately whenever I approach her she gets very defensive, timid, and serious. Oh and when I want to ask her something after class she wants to do it while others are around even if it's holding others up from talking to her. She tries and avoid me when she's alone. Thats why last class when I talked to her and she scolded me it was very embarassing. Another girl was waiting to talk to her and stepped into the hall because she was getting loud with me. That's one thing with women. It seems if you're a guy and get on their sh*t list, you will always remain on it.
collegeguy_24 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 That's one thing with women. It seems if you're a guy and get on their sh*t list, you will always remain on it. Dude, after everything, you deserve to be on her list, and a restraining order as well.

With all due respect LITM, I've seen you post that no less than 3-4 times before. Will this time be the last? And OG I think on the last day you should wait till class is over then tell her you want to show her something. Then pull down your pants and whip out that bad boy. Once she sees it she'll be so impressed she'll blow you right there.

Author one goal Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 I assume asking if i could take her out to lunch would be the same as a gift too which would be a no no? Not as a date though but just as a friendly thing.
Lilmisus Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I assume asking if i could take her out to lunch would be the same as a gift too which would be a no no? Not as a date though but just as a friendly thing. How about you ask to take out all of your teachers? Like, at once? Not as a date of course but as just a "friendly thing". I'm sure if you tell her that all your professors would be there and it's just a way to show your appreciation, than she will of course understand and be more inclined to say yes. Especially if you invite the dean along! It would be fun! (It would be even more fun if you tell her this, and have it end up being a romantic candle lit dinner at a top notch restaurant in town...like a surprise date!) I mean..if it's not a date and you really want to show her how much you appreciate her, then having it be a group thing wont be an issue, would it? Ahhh, I love it when people set themselves up for failure. This sure is leading up to what will hopefully be a grand finale of this story on Tuesday after your last class. Can't wait!!

Author one goal Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 Don't worry, it won't end then. The next thread will be about the arrest and subsequent court case. No, I wont contact her anymore after last class. Unless out of the blue she just asked if I wanna go out sometime lol. And no to the OP I don't want to take all my teachers out. They are not a special person like she is.
thehead Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 And no to the OP I don't want to take all my teachers out. They are not a special person like she is. Professor X said it best in an earlier part of the thread... The OP is you you dumb ass.
Author one goal Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 Since I can't buy her a gift, is there any suggestions you posters have that can leave a positive impression of myself on her, and where she at least maybe will be friends with me in the future?
