BB07 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 You beat me to it, WWIU! lol I watched most of it this morning and it was interesting. I thought the one who was the most clearheaded and the least deluded about it was the one who said she didn't love her mm but enjoyed the money he spent on her. He paid her rent and gave her 2k a month that she said she placed in a savings account and he bought her expensive gifts. She clearly saw it as a exchange. The rest of the women said they loved or had been in love with the mm. It's a 2 part story and tomorrow they are going to have a couple of BS's on there and one of the stbx hubby's who are going to contribute to the discussion.
Hazyhead Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Not being in the US I probably wouldn't have got to see this if you hadn't posted it (plus never been inclined towards those shows, maybe I should!) I, for one, can certainly identify with that: there is a lot of currency in having someone make you feel good about yourself, but isn't that the case for everybody? Fact is, though, he has a wife (in that instance with the punching) and so isn't yours to gain that level of idolatary from. You know, the more time passes without me seeing xMM, the more I think it was infatuation, not love. Though it certainly felt like love in the moment and through the hurting period afterwards. I don't know. I think true live wouldnt wear so thin this quickly (that and that he was a doucheface )

fascinated Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Thanks! I was able to catch the second half of the show, really enjoyed what I did see, will definitely watch part 2. I've been lurking and reading here for awhile, but decided to register and join in the conversations starting with this thread.
summerdowling87 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 It's eye opening seeing the mistress part 1 and now the wives part 2 and a scorned husband. All parts Not sure who I feel more sorry for.
Author whichwayisup Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 I missed most of it as some neighbours dropped in.
Irishlove Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I want to see the dang husbands and have one speak the truth. I never got gifts....I'm doing something wrong. hahaha
BB07 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Now Oprah has Shania Twain. Is it ratings week? Must be......I watched that one too. Her good friend was the OW, the one she was confiding in about their problems. Yuck! I've done things I'm ashamed of and not proud of but I could NOT betray my friend. That's why I struggle with the answers on that other thread about telling someone about a affair. If it was my friend or my family, it feels like a betrayal if I ratted on them. Does it make sense?

If it was my friend or my family, it feels like a betrayal if I ratted on them. Does it make sense? I have to admit, it does not make sense to me. I guess if someone is truly my friend, I can't help anyone do the wrong thing...including my friend. I think you have to be willing to live with whatever choice you make. For me, I know that I don't want to answer to God for what I believe would be the wrong thing on my part. I feel as if you have to decide what you need to feel comfortable in your own skin.
bentnotbroken Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 i don't know. i always write that when i see him mentioned :laugh:Okay Alpha..fair enough.

pureinheart Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Sneak preview. I'll have to look up scheduling, but this will be interesting...I really like Dr. Phil and the majority of his advice...it makes sense.

Well, I caught the later version of the show on time shift (feature I have on my TV package)..Hang onto your hat... What Dr P said, lol, well, isn't that much different that's been said on here. Minus the rude/namecalling posts, but the jist of what he said certainly reminded me of OWL, and a bunch of others. OWL and Dr Phil in the same sentence...Hmmm, oh wise one, you should get your own TV show!

I would prefer to see the kids of the adulterer or mistress and hear what they have to say. As for Dr. Phil, 'eh. He is no different than Oprah or any of the others. Inject their own beliefs into it. Saw an episode recently that IME he was way off the mark on. Like anyone, they can spin it to make it what they want.

They are buzzing.
