Chitowngirl Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I've done this quite a bit and most turn up clean -- but there have been a few men who use the same handle for every site they're on -- and it's gross what I come across!!! I just googled "MrRightinFLa", who is on match.com and I was considering meeting him.. until I saw he posts on Voyeur MILF sites telling the MILF's to email him!! Another handle I googled turned up to be on Adult Friend Finder and he was looking for couples!
Confusedalways Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 This is why I always google. And I always use a different screen name for online dating than my regular screen name- I don't need people finding my live journal from middle school, or something.
Cee Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Googling usernames can come up with interesting information. One time, I googled a guy's username and got an eyeful. He was on all sorts of fetish sites. But Facebook turned out to be the smoking gun. He was listed as engaged.
BiscuitXOXO Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 He was listed as engaged. :lmao::lmao::lmao: ...brb changing all my screen names.
jerbear Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Change usernames and use different pictures; especially for those looking for extracurricular activities (AFF,MILF, etc...)
irc333 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Yeah, it's a great way to contact someone that has a Match.com account, and finding them elsewhere so you don't have to pay the Match.com membership.
Art_Critic Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 You know what is even funnier... hahahaha Now when you google "MrRightinFLa" this thread pops up in google with the voyeur website and match.com hahahaha
SmileFace Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 How can you find it appropriate to post his screen name here?
Intricategirl Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I'm all about googling someone, but the screenname "MrRightinFla"? Too vague to absolutely connect everything that could appear under that screen name with him. If there's other info to back it up, cool. But there's probably more than one person in Florida that thinks they are Mr. Right. Apart from that caveat, heck yeah. Google away.
jerbear Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Who just googled their screen names? Me. I am happy to report my online dating profiles were not found easily. You know what is even funnier... hahahaha Now when you google "MrRightinFLa" this thread pops up in google with the voyeur website and match.com hahahaha "OMG". I agree... :lmao:
daphne Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 There's no way that dude is 39. Maybe 49 but not 39. Secondly, I've been there. There was something fake and contrived and too goody goody about a guy who appeared to be too good to be true. He was. He had multiple sex site listings on google. And some weird ass fetishes. That guy contacted me online for months until I finally hid my profile. So cheesy... "I'm looking for... a girl I can fall in love with, day after day. ...and night after night.... : ) "
sanskrit Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Just googled my match.com handle "10inchesstronglikebull" and no incriminating links came up to sully my image... phew!
