There is this woman online, very attractive. She has a long thought out description of herself, and very nicely, hi-rez photos of herself in various poses. Some with sime nice cleavage (in good taste, nothing really sexual, but sexy though)

Just in various poses in dresses, one-piece swimsuit by the pool side.

At the end of her profile she actually puts a link to her FB page if we want to see more.

So I add her to FB and she adds me back.

I swear she must have 100's of photos of herself in various poses, outnumbers her family pics I think. lol

Do you think she's really just doing the online dating thing for an ego boost more so than really wanting to find a relationship?

Some women do (and I'm guilty of this as well). I'm generally viewed as "less than average" and I've got low self-esteem. It was interesting to post pictures on a dating site and then to see what people said. There were a lot of folks who approached me...some who are much better-looking than I am (frankly, 'out of my league.').

It's interesting to see who will take risks in the online sphere, when they won't as much in real life. The vast, vast majority of these men would never approach me in real life. Online? Bingo.

I usually think the picture-whores and the "add me here/here/here!" girls are probably just out for attention. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing...but it can suck for the guys pursuing.

I know there are plenty of people using online dating for things other than dating.

I have seen hookers on there... And just people killing time. The people just killing time and using it for something to do on Friday nights are the hardest to figure out. Those people have no intention of dating anybody.

So I guess any person could be using it for an ego boost, male or female

Right, however, she has a rather lenghty profile that does say she's very desiring of a long term relationship, she even stated that some of the guys that emailed her weren't their own profiles seriously...I guess she thought the men who emailed her thought there weren't putting ANY effort into their own profiles and expressed this is the future that we were referring to in finding the right woman.

So obviously, she's taking it very seriously, but I tend to wonder with the "here's my FB profile, look at me over here too!"

So there is a bit of a mix message there. The woman is physically enthralling though, I keep thinking Snow White, and all she needs is the cartoon wildlife to come land by her as she sings. lol

She has several pool side photos that weaken the knees. lol

It does get worse. Some VGL women go to singles meetups just so they can string men along in person. Apparently such women get a kick out of doing that... especially to men who are more horny than intelligent.

I think what is attracting me MOST about her pictures, is that she's not wearying ANYTHING sleezy/slutty. All very nice dresses, conservative swimsuits, etc. THAT's the attractive part.

How can a man use it for an ego boost? Men message women. Women don't message men.

Men start up convos then disappear . They will also just look for cyber sex

Well duh, that's why I left Synergy and stopped going to their meetups.

What's the worst possible thing that could happen if you asked her this question? Best possible thing?

Good luck :)

Women do message men. I've used dating sites for an ego boost myself and have had women message me quite a lot of times.

Men initiating contact with me is very rare, I had one that did that, but she was grotesquely obese, and even looked like a slob.

I've had a mixture, from chubby women who would be classed as below average looking, to ones that are probably around average.

Which is fine with me, as I find a lot of women who would be classed as below average looking by most people, to be very attractive looking, and I prefer chubby over skinny.

It's a nightclub-oriented meetup group for singles (mostly cougars and desperate twentysomething men).
