maria gostrey Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 i am a pretty young fresh college grad. i have a degree from a top 25 school and since graduating am holding down two great internships. i'm smart, well traveled and come from a good respectable family. aside from the fact that i have had debilitating social anxiety growing up, something which i'm slowly recovering from, and trying to make friends and expand my social circle, i dont think there's much wrong with me. but for the past 24 years of my life, i haven't had any guy seriously consider me romantically- at least none that i know of. im sick of being lonely and single. what am i doing wrong? why is no one attracted to me? this is me: 1. 2. 3.

If you are anxious or awkward socially, that is the problem. If you have difficulty talking with guys, then there's no opportunity for the spark to happen. I think you should keep working on your social skills. A lot of great guys love a shy girl...

You don't, he's just trying to get your attention. Start with lots and lots of eye contact! The guy should start doing the rest. Make sure to laugh at his jokes. Shy girls are best. Too many girls act like they have something to prove. I'm talking to you because I am attracted. What is there left to prove, sugar? Shy girls are great, it's a wonderful feeling getting a girl who looks uncomfortable at a party to start smiling and having a good time. Big difference between a shy girl and one that gives off a “stay the hell away from me vibe” though, which I would guess maria is if she has a problem attracting men looking like that.
