I thought I would give an update sense I haven't been on here in SO LONG..... He moved, we all know that. He recently came back up to visit and decided to surprise me by stalking me at my work and my house (fun ). Well, long story short, I told him that I could not, and WOULD NOT be the other woman for him. I told him how bad it hurt when he left and how now that I had gotten on with my life, I refused to go back to ever letting him make me feel that way again. I told him that I would be his friend, nothing more, no sex or anything of the sort. What does he do? Texts me his hotel address and room number. Jerk! I was infuriated at that. I ignored anything he sent me from then on. I believe he left town again, I have no idea, and I truly do not care.

You found that out after he disrespected you and texted you, hoping you'd cave and go run into his arms, be the OW again. There's no point in being friends. Besides, why hang onto someone, even as a friend when he's such a jerk? You don't need him in your life. At all!

Your final step is to ignore him, period. You can't be his friend, clearly.

The MM that I was involved with decided to move all the way across the country three years ago, with no notice, no goodbye, no nothing..Didn't hear from him at all, even after repeated attempts by me. He recently had reason to revisit the area, and when he got back "home" decided to resume contact, even though he had virtually ignored any attempt by me to make contact for the past 3 years, no matter how distraught I was when I tried to contact him for the past 3 years to get answers as to why he had done what he did. Interestingly, most of his recent correspondences have included veiled references to resuming a physical relationship. But you know what? For the first couple of years, I would have welcomed ANY contact from him, I was so distraught. Now? Nope, nope, nope. It's so ironic that it was HIS actions that have made me now so apathetic. I don't really believe in karma, but it seems so appropriate in this case.
