jclorenzo Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 NEED ADVICE: ok, here is the situation, i like this guy at work and he likes me, we went out one day and started seeing each other at work (emailing, talking, etc) we even had plans to see each other that weekend. However, on Friday, the deptartment had a small get togehter at this bar, and I was not able to attend till later, due to work. We were set to meet there, however he emails me saying that he will be leaving early and probably would not see me and he would call me the next day so we could go out. I believe he was planning on leaving before i got there. So when I get to the bar, the guy is leaving and kind of pulls the "oh,,, she saw me" deal, so i heard through the grapevine that he had left with this old co-worker friend who use to work in the dept. He never called me the next day nor the weekend. So I come to work on Monday and we basically give each other the cold shoulder. Being the mature person I think i am i shoot him an email stating that i wanted to "break the ice, and that we were still cool and we could remain friends, and also added that i knew he had company this past weekend and he could of just told me the truth" he then replied and stated that "he was glad i broke the ice and he felt very bad for not calling and that he was glad we could remain cool, and added at the end, that just for the record, she was just a friend, and NOTHING more. I left it at that... Well, now we kind of talk, and now we communicate on a daily basis. I have noticed that he comes by my desk more often now too. My question is do you think he would of called if I hadn't seen him leave or if he didn't think i knew he had left with this friend? And do you think i should ask him why he never called?
