I am an attractive, single woman, but like most of us, have insecurities. Do most men prefer a woman to be thin? Or does body size not really matter and personality is #1? I had a guy tell me once that the face is the most important physical feature and the body doesn't matter. Any opinions/comments?

In a previous thread I noticed many men wanted a woman with a more curvy figure, such as Scarlett Johansson or Kim Kardashian.

I'm a very thin lady, but I do have a nice curve to my body. My body type does not match either of the above (Im much thinner) but it hasn't stopped anyone in having interest in me.

I don't think that men would mind your body type, I'd bet most of them would approve. :p

I used to be too thin when I was younger and now I've put on some weight in my 40's. I just feel so self conscience and I know alot of it is in my head. But then there are some guys who are cruel and make fun of women who are bigger in size. All they show on tv are the model types and it's very intimidating to try to date when you are an average sized woman, ya know?

I prefer the grown-up filled-in look rather than the look of someone who hasn't yet filled into her last childhood growth spurt. Women look best in their 30's and into 40's. And if she has a pretty face and some style of personality she can get away with some heft.

I understand fully where your are coming from.

But, If a guys cruel they'll aim for anything, not just weight. I've seen multiple beautiful women get picked on for small flaws that were not even noticeable. I have had people call me "beaver teeth" before because I don't have a perfect Hollywood smile.

Many men don't find the model look attractive either, it's not appealing at all to look unhealthy. As long as you look & are healthy that is all that should matter.

I'm sure that there is nothing wrong with your size. We are our own worst critics! I have no doubt that a man can and will find a curvier woman irresistible. ;)

I HATE thin women, I would take them out to feed them. I like a an average or slightly above average in weight. Face to me is important but mostly the eyes and lips. Thin model looking girls make me cringe, I want a woman - not a 8 year old korean boy body. I love thick hips and some love handles to grab on. I learned that liking this type of body will also keep me happy in the long run and my options are great.

Every women has a beauty somewhere and I am just the dedective to find it.

Thank you,

Management.

:lmao: You would likely find me unappealing then. I'm 5'3 and about 90 pounds or so. No more then 100.

OP, just comes to show that you have nothing to worry about! :bunny:

So look great thin and some look great with more meat on their bones. Either works for me as long as they take care of themselves. I recognize that because of genetics we arent all going to be a size 0.

I am into fitness and go to the gym 5 days a week. I wouldnt be happy with someone who was lazy and never went.

Personally, I'm more of a face guy. Body just doesn't matter that much to me. As long as there is some part of your body I'm attracted to then it's all good. Maybe your chest is small but if you have nice legs and a great butt then I'm more than happy. Or vise versa.

Men like all different shapes and sizes and you shouldn't be too concerned with your body. I've been very attracted to skinny girls as well as busty, heavy set girls. Both are sexy IMO. It's the whole package that counts in the end.

In shape or not overweight - yes. Thin not necessarily so. Actually the term 'thin' doesn't cross the minds of many men.

Personality can win out but personality + average body shape will lose out more often than not to personality + attractive shape.

It is to me also although again, there are a zillion beautiful faces out there with a bod to match. Most people though do not see the bigger picture so if you've got a cool personality and an attractive face with a reasonable body then that will take you a long, long way.

At your age is should come as no surprise that you carry a few extra pounds. More than likely, most guys you'll end up dating (if you're dating around the same age range) will be exactly the same. If you're trying to shoot for the very best though then it will help your cause if you're similarly endowed.

Christina Hendricks. Oh. My. God. What I would give.

I like bigger women, I like curvy to chubby. Never skinny.

Men want beauty as women want money.

Personality can only go so far.

A woman can be thin and curvy. If she's thin and curvy, that's fine. Thin alone, no.

I mean what is "thin"? There is thin, and there is SKINNY. I am thin. Apparently this is bad, according to the dudes on this thread! Thin=looking like an 8 yr old kid?! Really?!

I'm going to be honest with you. Right now, I'm FAT and yet less than a year ago, I was dating six men at the same time.

Men will still be attracted to you the way you are, but more men will like you the more attractive/thin you are.

Men who have their pick of the litter prefer the slender/curvy women. Women who are thin but have a shape. I havent met any guy that prefers stick thin bodiless models. I certainly dont. Men who arent that great with women lower their body standards.

Some men prefer chubby women, including myself.

I am not thin and I do well with men ;) (at least before my fcked up personality comes into play)

What makes you think you have a ****ed up personality?

Posted

as a fat girl with a lot of experience interviewing guys whether they like fat or not, most want girl who has a pretty face and a curvy body.

nobody wants a "fat" girl, not necessarily thin girl u see, just a girl who has no "rolls and rolls of fat".

i notice the younger guys dont care its the 28-35 that want a really nice thin body (like paris hilton body). but the 19 to 25 ones dont really mind whatever the body is.

Could it be that you just go for the wrong types of men?

Posted

Yes. Especially good looking men. They only, only will look at thin women. And I mean, really thin and tall - model like figure. No ass, no extra flesh, no anything. And a model like face too. I've seen it all too often.
