worlybear Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 So all of UK is gripped by wedding fever and the lessons are being planned around the big day. And I do get that it's historic and patriotic- but personally I'm finding it very hard to keep smiling when other teachers are enthusiastically bringing in wedding dresses and memories...... It hurts. Tho' I would never admit it in a million years. And I'll keep on smiling.........
silvermane187 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Does anyone know where I can get wedding coverage of the royal wedding? I can't seem to find any...(sarcasm in case someone missed it) On a positive note Kate is so beautiful she gives me hope that there is someone out there for me better than my ex. But then I think all of the Kate's of the world up end with princes and not common men like me...ahh **** it, i don't care enough to even think about it.
GorillaTheater Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I remember when one of the princes, the guy who was a helicopter pilot in the Falklands War, was dating soft porn actress Koo Stark, and thinking to myself that there might be hope for the Royals after all. But 25 years ago was the last time I was remotely interested in what they were up to. I COULD get into a bloody, sword-wielding dynastic change, though. That'd be cool.
TaraMaiden Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I give it 5 years at best. The only 1st-line royal who's stayed married, since the Queen and Phil the Greek tied the knot, has been Edward.... and some say that his sexuality is questionable, anyway (allegedly, she hurriedly added....) Decidedly low profile.....But his wife is a spitting double of Diana... I think.... Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon- Divorced. Affairs mainly on her side. Charles & Diana - Divorced. Affairs both sides. Anne and Mark Philips - Divorced. Anne and Timothy (Who?) Laurence - also divorced. Andrew and Fergie - Divorced. And hasn't she courted publicity...? Who says Marriage is for ever in Royal circles? My @rse.....

ALonerAgain Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 she and I are UK-based.... Same here! Although I wouldn't say we're 'gripped' so much as the media (esp. the States) are.
TaraMaiden Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I really couldn't be in the slightest bit bothered by it, tbh... I am working that day, courtesy of a boss who also thinks it's all a load of tat - and it's hard on businesses as it is...We open 7 days a week...usually.... 5 (bank) holidays in a row.... business has definitely suffered, at a time when we really need to get into an upswing.....
angelboots Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 its the same here in Australia, royal wedding hooplah every where... its on every television channel and they are all streaming it live, the only thing that caught my eye is that " Kate's second cousin from mount druitt (the bogan crime capital of NSW) who has no teeth "expects a royal visit" during their honeymoon.... now That i would watch live streaming of
ilovedhim Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Its not just the uk... we're flooded in the states also. But let's not forget that kates had pretty rough also.
