Funny thing is, same thing happened to me - except she was a model - russian. I thought I would never find anyone a beautiful or smart as her - then I met my gf who is now my ex - and I want her back - though not for her beauty.

 

I don't know what attracted you to her and vice versa, but I'm guessing it wasn't 100% skin deep. You have done it once before, trust me when I say you can do it again. If you are convinced she is the one, you may not be anything you can do to change her mind but work on you in her absence, and cultivate the confident, good looking, charming dude that pulled her.
