They discontinued my favorite unpadded bra so this has been on my mind...

WHY don't they make bras without padding?!! It drives me crazy. I don't need or want padding. And I hate the fake look.

So men - how do you feel when you date a girl that looks stacked. And then finally get her naked and find out it was all foam? Or even grope her over her clothes and feel nothing but foam padding?

I also dislike the foam padding, for the same reason you do. It looks fake in the sense that the shape doesn't look natural.

Aesthetically I prefer smaller natural breasts that fit a slender female body. So personally, I wouldn't mind.

WHY don't they make bras without padding?!!

I always thought they did? Look on Google Images and type in "bra". Some unpadded bra's should show up.

Well there you go. I see a business opportunity for D-Lish.

Without underwire too? The only ones I've found are made for very small chested women. Please send me a link if you have one - thanks!

Too many women think the only choice they have for bra shopping is Vic Secret. They don't fit properly, they have a small range of sizing that 90% of the population doesn't fit. Over the course of fitting bras for 20 years, I've run across a true 36C maybe 4 or 5 times.

I can't tell you how many women come into our stores asking for a 36C and walk out in a 32F with a perfect fit.

There are tons of companies that sell bras without padding. My favorite brand would be Freya. Expensive, but worth it.

But getting back on topic- I think most guys are just far too thankful to have a naked chick lying underneath them, that the fact that her boobs might be a bit smaller without her bra on isn't on their mind. The focus becomes getting that penis into that vagina;)

I have found bras without padding nor underwire. They are the only kind I'll wear. It does take a little more looking, but they should be in a major department store lingerie area.

Why don't you like underwire?

If you get the right fit, you shouldn't even feel like you are wearing underwire.

So many companies specialize in small back- large front bras. My company starts at a 28 back and goes to 44. The cup range is A-J cup.

But ultimately, as I said before- men just like having a naked woman in front of them- the fact that they are naked is usually the only thing they are thinking of.

Yes D Freya and Fantasie are the best. Wacoal is one of my favorites for smoother looks and is sold without padding.

Most of the underwire bras I see want to push you up into the stratosphere. But it sounds like my problem is more finding a well fitting bra. I'm that 36C you mentioned earlier, lol!

Honestly though, I've been to every store in my town. They all have underwire and/or padding though some are just lined (which means wrinkles). Either way, I don't like it.

Online shopping doesn't work. I've gone that route and the $$ spend on shipping and returns doesn't make it a good option.

I just think a guy would be shocked to see the difference in size for those women who wear a heavily padded bra. But I expect you're right that most guys don't really care that much and are just happy to be there.

Actually, there seems to be a conspiracy among bra companies to make us all around the same size. They don't really carry padded bras in my size because I am a larger size, but almost all the bras in my size say "minimizing". And all the smaller bras have padding. So I'm thinking there's this idea that we all need to be c-cups to fit in. I don't know. That's just what I think.

If you can find a really good place near you that has fittings, do that! Victoria Secret, IME is horrible with fitting you if you are a larger cup size.

What I did is go to an upscale place near me, get fitted. Find an awesome bra that I love, then from there I just ordered them online. Much cheaper but worth every penny the first time out to get a great fit.

I walked in thinking I was a 40DD and walked out a 36G. Since you can't find G in most stores I was buying bigger round than I needed because then the cup sizes would be larger. Horrible fit.

The website I use is bare necessities. The bra that I love is a T-Shirt bra. Fantasie something or other I think. Yes underwire but I don't even notice it.

Best of luck.

I like how this was presented as a question for "the men," probably the most under-qualified out-of-touch demographic possible.

Yeah, I really hate that "underwire"!

Wow...I was fitted about a year ago but I was off by one size and a cup. That is ridiculous. I find it kinda funny to hear some of my friends brag about how they're the Aussie equivalent of a 36. They're at least a 30/32. It's like someone thinking their dress size is 2 or 3 sizes bigger than what it actually is.

Freya is my favourite too! Literally the only brand I am comfortable with ordering online. The cost is worth it.

I am a 30G CE. But if I went to vic Secret they would put me in a 34DD, and it wouldn't fit properly.

For years I wore 36C/D bras (when I was still growing and developing) only to figure out I was a 32F! Since then I've put on a bit of weight so moved p to 34F. Haven't been to a fitting in a thousand years though.

Also, how does a 30G cup get transformed into a 34DD cup? My "math" says it should be an E or F... :p

While I do think most guys like curvy women the most and prefer larger breasts, I'm not one of them. Don't get me wrong, I like curvy women, but I like slender women with smaller breasts more.

I realize I'm probably in the minority regarding this, but that doesn't take away that I get surprised by the comments I get from other guys regarding the women I like. Flat chested and skinny is what most guys think of the women I like. But then again I find their tastes regarding women to be rather unsophisticated. I know some guys that would base the decision of whether they think a girl is girlfriend material or not on her curviness. I would even go as far to say that if they marry a woman, they'd marry her curviness instead of herself. In my opinion it's a very superficial attitude, but I've found that it's not uncommon amongst guys.

In my opinion I think Rachel Leigh Cook in this photo: http://bit.ly/eZtxXA , aesthetically has the ideal breast size for her body type and since I like slender girls with her body type, like for example Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, that breast size in my opinion hits the aesthetic sweet spot.

So you women might probably wonder why I'm telling this. The reason I'm telling this is that first of all I noticed a lot of women are insecure about having smaller breasts, however there are guys out there that prefer that. While they might be in the minority, they are by no means rare. A lot of women even get breast implants, but in my opinion breast implants often destroy the elegant silhouette of a woman. Breast implants often make the breasts proportionally too big for their body type. And there are guys that are encouraging this, but the fact is, that if a woman gets breast implants, she quite likely does it for men. But men that encourage women to undergo surgery to enlarge their breast size are generally not the most sophisticated and considerate of men. Ask yourself if that is actually the kind of guy you're aiming for.

That's right, I had forgotten we were the same bra size.:laugh: I haven't heard great things about Vic's secret so I doubt I will be heading their way.

Well, it doesn't equate. American cups are larger than european cups. It depends on the brand you are fitting with.

It's really only about putting the right cup and back together. Every company you go to will have different sizing. An E and an F are only relevent to the company producing the sizing.

I'd go to Vic Sec and get fit for a cup- but the back would be huge on me.

My back actually measures out to 27- which means I should wear a 26-H.

It seems strange to women that arent accustomed to being fitted properly, but they get it when they walk out with the right fit.

I've been fitting bras for 20 years, It's frustrating to know that most women are wearing the wrong bra size and they don't know any better!

This ^.

As the saying goes, anything over a mouthful is wasted. I actually prefer smallish breasts as gravity will do less to them over time. My big fiasco relationship i talk about a lot was with someone who was neurotic about not being endowed. If anyone was around or even on TV that was bigger and it looked like I took notice she was all over my case. It was really stupid because it is not a priority for me--I would never chase a woman around because she has bigger knockers.

Meh, I say just burn all the bras. Under a certain size, women just don't need 'em.

If their perky, don't even bother.

Bras are also about modesty and preventing bouncage. A lot of us bounce a bunch even when we're just walking without them. I know you wouldn't complain, but I think its distracting and inappropriate in situations that don't directly involve sex.

Also, it keeps the nipples from showing underneath as much as well.
