orangelady Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Hi, I finally got someone who emailed me on a dating site, rather 'okay' profile (content wise) but this person had no picture. I still replied to him though because he wrote an interesting email. I asked him about why he didn't have a picture and joked about people usually having pictures in this day of age with cams, etc and he said "Oh my friends are the ones who usually snap the photos etc besides, why must one have a picture in order to talk?" I just find that really suspicious. Is he really hideous looking, or he has a self esteem problem? I don't know. Still, we continued to email and finally after a few emails, exchanged YM and had one chat. He asked me why I was on a dating site and I answered, and then asked him back. He said he's there because he wants to make friends. So I wrote "I don't understand that part of people wanting to make friends on a dating site - if you really want to make friends, why don't you join a club, take up some sports or something like that?" As soon as I said that, he seemed offended and didn't seem to friendly anymore and wanted to go offline. Also, he was very sensitive about letting me see his picture, I don't know what is his problem. I was thinking to myself, why am I chatting and emailing him when I have NO idea what he looks like? He was also being very secretive with his 'race' (I live in a country that has 3 main races so I don't know which is he). It's all very strange. Also, I looked at his profile, he is 39 and divorced. Uh huh...............
