lolo1234 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 (edited) I have a date tonite at 7 pm with one guy (lets call him older guy). Another guy (my age guy) that really wants to meet me asked me what I was up to and I told him I was having dinner with a friend. I didn't want to say I had a date. Is there anything wrong with that? Well he asked where I was going, etc. and suggested he could meet up with us. I figure he assumes my friend is a girl. I told him that I wanted to have dinner with "my friend" and maybe him and I could meet up later. But that would mean I'd have to cut date with older guy shorter. ugh. Older guy is really sweet but doesn't seem to have any edge to him whatsoever. I figured I'd give him a chance though, because who knows right? My age guy sounds like alot of fun and we've had better conversations. I don't know what to tell him at this point that won't disappoint him. Advice needed ASAP Edited April 22, 2011 by lolo1234 edit
notuneak Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 You've already made a date. Honor your commitment. If the other guy is really interested in you, he will try again.
Freshprince Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 I agree, have fun on your date with your friend ("older guy"), and see where it goes. The other guy can wait a night to meet you. Just offer him a rain check in the meantime, and maybe text him when you get home from your date to tell him good night or something. That'll keep him around. On a side note, it's kind of weird that the other ("same age") guy tried to invite himself to hang out with you and your friend. Sounds like he REALLY wants to meet you. lol.
