Little Red Hen Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Like the title says, I'm having a bad week. I woke up this morning to find out that my cat had been hit by a car and was killed. I still haven't told my youngest daughter. Plus, my husband (he's actually my ex, but we are still together off-and-on) and I broke up Wednesday night. We had a fight because he didn't back me up--as usual--when someone was being rude to me. I ended up yelling at him about it, and he said "f--k you!" to me. He started throwing things and punched the wall. So I called the police and asked them to ask him to leave. My daughters ran down the street to get away from the yelling. I haven't heard from him since. I know his leaving is for the best. He has schizophrenia, (he's medicated) so he spends a greater part of the day rocking in a chair while listening to music on headphones. He doesn't work, but gets a small disability check--most of which pays our mortgage. Now that he's gone I'll have to figure out how to earn more money than I already do to pay the mortgage myself. (I sell used books online for a living). But even though he's not always good to me, I still want him around. Why? Am I just afraid to be alone? I'm 50; he's 47. My daughters are 19 and 10. He's the father of the 10 year-old. Thanks for any advice. (BTW, my ex didn't kill my cat--he doesn't even have a car.)
