Hey all,

Just want to make this short and snappy. I'm a young guy who's never been in a relationship so I don't know squat. (I only started uni this year).

In your experience, does mutual interest just happen or does there have to be a pursuit? I've been rejected a few times now and I don't want to act on my feelings next time around unless there's a good chance of mutual interest. I don't want to waste any feelings over someone who'll never say "yes" so help me out here:

Are there any good guidelines to know if a woman would even let you take her on a single date?

Sometimes it is mutual, sometimes yah gotta chase a little more. My husband chased me. I wouldn't've given him the time of day otherwise.

I agree that it can be mutual or you have to do a bit pursuing. The guy I'm seeing now doesn't have to try as hard as my ex because there was an instant attraction.

My last ex kept pursuing me and I knew he was a good guy so I gave him a chance. I just grew to like him more.
