first a little back story

last December ex went away to South America for a school related project..we were still together at that time (we were together for over a year), I was suppose to come meet here a few weeks after she had left and hang out...sort of a school/vacation type of thing between us. Two weeks into her trip, she breaks up with me..says we should use her time away as "break". Truth is, I saw it coming from a mile away..she just started acting differently towards me as soon as she got to South America. I knew something was up so I wasn't TOTALLY surprised by the break...but was still a little confused. When she was with me at home, things were great...as soon as she leaves, it all goes to hell.

Anyways, when she returns home 2 months later....she gives me a call..and like an IDIOT, I answer. We have the incredibly awkward "post break up talk" lol. where by she admits that when she was there she cheated on me, then broke up with me, and then hooked up with the guy she cheated on me with. Needless to say I was pretty shook up over it.

A few days pass, but for some reason I still care for her a lot and am not fully done with the relationship, so I decide that we should give it another go, and let what happened in the past stay in the past. So since February we have been back together...but just the other day we got into an argument about trust, and I blew up at her. Sighting the past situation as proof that she couldn't be trusted. Of course, she then flipped out at me an told me to get over it or break up with her. She couldn't be with someone who wouldn't let something like that go.

Have any of you gone through something like this before? where your ex cheated on you, but you still got back with her to try and make it work... or was it next to IMPOSSIBLE to forget about the past and move on from it??

Im finding in pretty hard to forget about it all and move on. Im leaning towards moving on from this relationship.
