djv Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I can't ask any friends for this type of advice...so here it goes. I'm in my early 40s, divorced about 2 years ago. I usually stop at a bakery in town weekend mornings to bring bagels, donuts, whatever into work (work at a hospital). There's a girl that always cashes me out that's probably in her mid 20s. Just my guess since she recently told me she graduated from school last spring. We flirt somewhat, I see her around town occasionally but have always been nervous to ask her out. She seems to like me too, but I was married for almost 20 years, I'm a little lost at how the dating game is going these days. Could anyone offer any advice on how I might bring up dinner or a coffee date? Thanks
thatone Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 man, i thought twice about going after one 9 years younger than me. 20 years? what the hell are you gonna talk about?
Dazdnconfuzed Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Like this: "Hey yo baby, how would you like to buy me dinner?" Things have changed, women like to buy everything for the man now. Now for the serious part - Nothing changed in the past 20 years, ask her out. Watch out for FB, texting, twitter and myspace - they are the devil.
