She knows I still have feelings for her, so when she asked me if I wanted to be her friend, I was offended. Doesn't she know every time I talk with her, I'm gonna be hurt by the thought of her being with another man? How can we be friends? How dare she ask me that? How do you all perceive this, when an ex asks you to be their friend? The way I look at it. She's essentially asking me to be her back-up plan... You know.. in case things with her current boyfriend doesn't work out? I'm nobody's silver medal! (The sad part is though, if she broke up with her man, I'd consider taking her back.. yeah I'm a sucker) No contact is the best plan, right? Edited April 18, 2011 by jdub27

BIG MISTAKE. he didn't have a gf at the time. he was just using me as a fwb to fill the time. as he wasn't ready for a relationship yet. eventually he cut off the benefits and wanted to just be friends. but i had (and still do have) feelings for him and just couldn't go back to being friends. especially after he decided that he was ready for a gf - - just not for *me* to be his gf. so i explained as much to him and went NC. best thing i ever did for myself. good for you for not getting suckered into the friendszone. do NC and don't look back!

And no she wants to be friends while she gets freaky with someone else. really..... I wouldn't even justify it with an answer. Just go NC. Silence speaks volumes.

My ex tried this too and I still had feelings so I declined. I would have been giving up the sex and being played like a dump ass let her go on
