The more time she has to think about it the higher the probability that she will flake

Don't stress on the details, but it might also be better to have, and present, a more specific proposal, eg "I know this really nice mexican restaurant. Would you like to go to dinner with me on thursday?"
neiu Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 yeah you are better off calling and just be upfront with what you want to do. calling and asking when they are free and if they want to grab a bite to eat isn't very exciting i would say. take her out for a nice dinner and choose the date not too far in advance. frankly i think that if this girl is mature enough and really does like you, then if the date absolutely doesn't work with her she will give you another option. plan this out, last thing any girl wants is to go on a date with no flow to it. the night should go by effortlessly though you've put a lot of effort into it. you usually only have one crack at this first date thing so best to make the most of it. meh then again that's just me, i'm usually pretty thorough. plus if you know you did the best you could and you don't get round 2 then she wasn't the one to begin with.

I have a number from a girl I met at work last night, but it might've been an accident since she claimed to have lost something, then decided to write her number on a piece of paper so I can call her when/if I find what she wanted. I dont know her so I dont really care to call about the missing glasses, but I do wanna use it as an opening into getting to know her. So far, you're in a better boat than me because you already shown some interest. Just got to take it up some more with asking her out. I wanna do the same as you but I have less incentive.

Author OCCDAVE Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 She called me back and we talked a bit she said sorry phs been acting up and been busy.I said i see i'm pretty beat myself looking forward to next week.She then explained how she had school this week and plans on the weekend with her sister.I was nervous cause but said screw it and said hey i'm going to go check out this place on thursday night wanna go.She said ya sure we can go.We then talked a few more she said ill call you tomo and we can work the details later Eh lot can change from now till thursday but ill try to stay positive:confused:
