dois20 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 (edited) So I was talking to this girl I like and I jokingly brought up the fact that I'll hook her up with my friends after she said she wants to start dating, she said no way cause they'd be way to immature. The problem being, shes five years older than me and she thinks the gap is too big. Anyway around this? Second, and sort of related. We were talking about relationships and she said she wants to start dating more but she wants guys to chase her, she doesn't want to do anything at all. I'm not sure she knows I like her but could it mean that maybe she wants me to ask her out? Or am i seriously over-analyzing? Chronologically, we talked about this first and the whole age-gap was an afterthought. Professor X Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 The age gap as you refer to it, is just another filter that almost every women has, whether it be those who prefer blonde hair or those who prefer taller men, etc etc... The only way you can deal with this is by making her overlook it. I once dated a girl who is 5 inch taller than me, and after the first time we had sex she told she never slept or even dated someone who's shorter than her, when I asked her about me, she said I just make her feel like she's smaller in comparison. So the same can be applied to you, if you wanna get her, and for her age = maturity, than all you gotta do is prove her wrong by showing her how mature you are. And about the 2nd thing you mentioned: probably she just told you this because she sees you as a friend (sorry!) and you are over-thinking that. Doesn't mean you can't ask her out.
