maysj18 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) So a few months ago I was working on homework with a friend and one of her guy friends came up and started talking to us. I joke with her as soon as he leaves, saying that she's been holding out on me (because he was SEXY), but she tells me he has a girlfriend...one of almost 5 years. No biggie, whatever. WELL, a couple of days ago I was in the gym and said guy just came up to me and started talking about the day we met. I felt so awkward afterwards because my answers were so slurred because I was such a gigglebox. All he did was just re-introduce himself and say that he'll "see me around". I felt awesome. A couple hours later I get a text from my friend, the girl I met him through, saying she's running up to my room to tell me something. Apparently he is extremely interested in me. He asked her all kinds of questions about me, asked what my schedule was so he could run into me and hopefully get my number, etc. I thought that was adorable! I ended up going up to him and giving him my number and we've been texting and hanging out ever since. We stayed up playing Mario Kart the other night for almost 4 hours. Regardless, nothing has really happened yet since we've been hanging in groups. Tonight, we plan on having some one on one time while my roommate is away. My only concern is the ex-girlfriend. There was a lot of cheating on her part done in the past and that's why they broke up this time (which was only about a month ago). Apparently she is already with someone new, too. Based on that and the fact that my friend is really pushing for us to get together, I feel like I'm fine to go after him but I am worried that, if he is as good of a guy as my friend says he is, he still harbors feelings for her. I'm sure he does and I don't blame him whatsoever, I just don't want to be a rebound. What do you think? What are some signs I should watch out for whenever we hang out?
