devil moth
(For the reader's convience, I bolded the important part... in case you don't want to read the background) So, tomorrow I'm going to a karate tournament with my boyfriend, and I figured at an event there would probably be expensive food if there is any, and my boyfriend eats a lot... so I thought I would try to be a good girlfriend and try to make him a nice meal for the day. However, I live off food stamps and I've ever went shopping once, so I don't really have all that much food kicking around. I already have an idea about what to make... but I was wondering what would be the best. Firstly, starting next week he and his family are going to start the Paleo Diet, which for those who don't know, is meat, fruits, and vegetables. No diary, sugar, wheat, potatoes and whatnot--but most of the things I bought correspond with that diet, so it's all good. This is what I got for food: LiverShrimpMixed Vegi'sMixed Peppers (It's different... I checked)Lemon JuiceOnions Okay... and here are the combination's I could think of. Liver and onions (I know my boyfriend LOVES liver, but I'm not sure about this because he's said before that I can't cook liver right.A shrimp and vegi stir fry thing. I was thinking about cooking the shrimp with a little bit of lemon juice as well.. and maybe possibly, some of the shrimp cocktail sause on the side? but I don't know. What do you guys think? Any other combinations you can think of from that? I have like mac and cheese, but I wanted to cook something really nice for him.. so I don't think that'll work. Anyways... suggestions? Cooking tips? Anything is welcome

Anything is welcome When you give something to some one it's about what you are giving, so it's not to exactly put a smile on your face for cooking up some masterpiece and get compliments for it, as it is to just put a smile on there face. It's a selfless decision. So your best bet would be to ask him what he likes to eat, if you already know what it is then do that, and cook up whatever it is pro chef-style for him. threebyfate
If you're going to do a shrimp stir-fry, try to get fresh veggies and uncooked shrimp. The best way to cook shrimp to get a more crystal quality is to use very high heat, for a very short time, removing them from the heat prior to them being thoroughly cooked since they'll continue cooking to some extent once removed from the pan. Also make sure you cook the veggies and shrimp separately, only combining them at the very end to mix them for a few seconds.
