When I first started college a couple of years ago, many, many people were adding one another on Facebook before the semester started so that they could have a few recognizable faces and start a couple of friendships beforehand. During this time, many guys thought it would be a great time to ask girls out apparently, as about...5 guys asked me out via Facebook. Two, didn't though, and instead saw my number on there, and decided to text me instead. I didn't take the attention personally, since I'm sure they were just looking around and trying to find some girl(s) to have some fun with for the semester. And though they were all pretty good looking and promising guys, I didn't go out with any of them, or lead any of them on, since I didn't like the idea of doing so.

I forgot all about this and them, but recently I was going through my messages from years ago (I was bored), and was reminded of those guys (who I deleted, along with others who I never actually met), and had a good laugh. I started to wonder if any of them got lucky with any of the girls that they messaged (though I doubt it). And so I wanted to see if any of y'all would have gone out with them. Or if anyone ever met/added and started talking to you on Facebook, if you would have gone with it and gave them a shot?

Sure, I would date someone I met on facebook. I met my current boyfriend on an online dating site and we moved over to facebook to get to know each other better before we met in person. I was really nervous about meeting someone I met online, but seeing him interact with others really made a difference.

I went through my messages even more and remembered one hilarious message that I got when I was 17.

hey im 34 m originally from wv lived in **** for like 5 yrs now . I like to cook, walk,do puzzles, hang out, etc. Anyways i like your pic .well hope to talk to you again soon :)
When I told him I was only 17 and in high school, he said that age didn't matter to him..even if he was twice my age, and it would be illegal. Said he still wanted to get to know me, but if age was a big deal to me, then never mind.

Then there was another guy a few years ago when I was 17 still (who actually reminds me of One Goal...) who messaged me countless times, commented on my photos and status updates even more times, and wouldn't get the hint that I wasn't interested by my saying so. He would inbox me comments about my status or ask how I was multiple times a day. He kept saying things like "I wont hurt you..." "please call me!" or "you are hurting my feelings by not talking to me..." After only a week of having him added as a friend (I added everyone back then who requested me, didn't think of the consequences...) I deleted him. A few months ago, he tried re-adding me and messaged me, and I then blocked him, since it really freaked me out to hear from him after 4 years.
