Ok so after the overwhelming number of suggestions from my other post that to really be sure things are getting better with my partner I should do some snooping. I'm not rich enough to afford a PI as most suggested. I do flip flop a bit over the merits of installing a keylogger on her mobile phone however.

2 questions though

a- anyone actually done this and had it work/not work for them?

b- her phone is quite old (about 4yr old standard nokia). Do keyloggers for these older phones actually exist? I did a brief online search the other day and the one's I found only seemed to work on iphone/blackberries/androids(whatever that is)/etc

I'm not entirely sure...as I'm new into the keylogger stuff myself.

But I'm guessing part of the reason for the listing of the newer phones is because of their technology for accessing the internet.

Maybe you knew that part already...but I'm pretty sure there needs to be the mobile connection with the internet for stuff to be tracked.

I know that's not much help.

I purchased eBlaster software and I believe they had a program that would track cell phones, I think there was also a Q&A/Users forum there...you might see if you can find anything on there.

Hope that helps some.

I don't think you'll find much available for an older Nokia. Keyloggers need to be applications run in the background. Old phone OS are just not sophisticated enough for that.

Never hurts to give a lady a new phone ;)

Compared to a PI, that's dirt cheap.

Look, the real ONLY reason to get a keylogger is to prove that your partner is up to no good. They aren't there to prove everything is okay. You are considering engaging in some seriously invasive stuff here. If you think things are getting better, there has to be an element of trust. If she ever figured out that you put one on her phone, she would rightly run away from you. I did the keylogger thing for a while, and I wound up feeling as bad if not worse than when she was cheating.
