Noregret Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 (edited) I was ecstatic that he didn't wish me... I don't think he forgot, because on Friday, he wore my favorite sweater after exactly one year. The last time he wore it was when we celebrated my birthday..last year!!! All these 6 months, no sign of this sweater. And all of a sudden days before the birthday, he wears it telling me, this is the last time for a few months.. OK SO WHY NOW? Then on my Birthday, he hardly talks... All of a sudden today, my friend plays a prank on him (my xMM and I are co-workers), and my name is involved, coz I made a comment that "yeah he needs to smile" (STUPID ME! Although I meant in a sarcastic manner, god knows what he thought?). And then after sometime , he comes to my desk and goes "Oh was there some celebration on the weekend?" I'm like "No.." He smiles and goes "What do you mean no..?" I say "No..." He's like "wasn't it your birthday? Coz I was checking my e-mails and found that the last time we celebrated your birthday was on such and such day.." I'm like "it was on monday.." (I wish I said "why do you ask?") Then he checks his watch to check the date.. OMG I was disgusted. And this is the same guy who was SOOO involved in planning my birthday last year.. was the first person wishing me..blah blah blah! And here he is telling me he was not sure!!!! WTH... I wish he didn't wish me, instead of saying HE FORGOT! What a jerk... Any exMM please tell me if this guy is pretending? Because I so think he is lying when he said he forgot. I am not bothered about his wish, I just hate that he is making crap up. I've had enough already.. ***UPDATE***: 5 mins ago he just randomly comes and gives me a Lindt chocolate ball and says Happy Birthday... (why?)... Edited April 14, 2011 by Noregret

Most likely to get a reaction out of you, set himself apart from the 'pack', you noticed and good or bad it's made the impression it intended. I interpret from the fact that you posted here and asked the question that his plan worked and that you still are emotionally vulnerable to him.
