I found a video stored in my husband's Favorites list of a topless young women soliciting him or men to call her. The video came from a website called "Sex Search". The girl goes by "Kate666". When I asked my husband if he knew it was there or if he had ever seen it before he replied "no". He said it must have been put there by spam.

My question is... Can spam enter your "Favorites" list? Can spam enter in a person's "draft" folder as well?

I would greatly appreciate anyone's knowledge about this subject. Thanks.

It most likely WAS spam - a site called 'sex search' sounds very spammy, along with the name 'kate666'.

As for getting in favorites/etc, that isn't as likely to be done without something done on his part - although he certainly could have done it by accident (I've accidentally saved things to favorites before). The question would be WHY he'd put it in his favorites, even if it was intentional. Is he not very technologically minded and/or a gullible person?

Also, you seem to not trust him... has he given you reason in the past not to trust him?

Finally.. can you describe what it is you saw, in more details - as in, how do you know the young girl was soliciting men? Was it an image, a video, a chatlog?

I have been a software developer for 30 years, 7 of them at Microsoft, and I know a thing or two about how email & web browsers work. You say you found a video, is it actually a file with a .flv, .wmv, .avi, .mpeg extension on it? Is it a link to an online video in an email? Is it a link to an online video under the "Favorites" tab in Internet Explorer?

What could have happened is that he received the link in an email as a solicitation from some web-whore. That email would likely end up in the "Spam" folder of his email client. He might have then opened it and clicked on the link and viewed the video. He found it "interesting" for whatever reason and quickly book-marked the page by adding it to "Favorites" on Internet Explorer. He then moved the email from "Spam" to "Drafts" because for some reason people seem to hide/save things in Drafts since it is used so infrequently by the email client. All conjecture, but logical - depending on the answers to the questions above.

Thanks for your help (everyone above). The video comes from sexsearchtgp.com. with a /3318/02.wmv. The file (video) says it's original form was a mobile download. The links in the draft folders were of other sights, most from I can tell were chat or single's sights. Each one was saved under a friend's or family's email in the draft folder. When I asked about it, he said it was spam again but those emails have never seemed to have left his draft folder since I discovered it. Wouldn't spam have sent it to the person's email if that was their "spams" intent? As for his knowledge on computer's, his field (career) is in computers/software. Thanks again.

It sounds as though he is thinking about covering his tracks but anytime you save something on a machine it can be found. Rather than playing computer detective games with someone who knows more about it than you, maybe you should simply tell him you think this is bull--- and you want to know what the hell he is doing. Does he really want to have an affair or is it simply a fantasy at this point? Or maybe it's a porn thing. Does he enjoy watching porn and is afraid to let you know about that? The point is this is no accidental spam thing so what the hell is going on?

If you are really intent on "cracking the case" you could find out how you can hire someone to do "forensic analysis" of the machine and then physically bring the computer to them. It will cost a lot of money but it should answer all of your questions.

I recommend confronting him as if you KNOW this is hanky-panky and demand the truth.

Drifter777, You have helped me more than you know. Thank you so much!

Well, it does seem kind of spammy to me. You would be amazed what you can find that gets into your computer without your knowledge. However, for a porn spam to get in there, usually means that he might have visited a less than wholesome site...i.e. porn site.

Now, couple of things to get mad about. If he has any accounts with like adultfriender's or anything to that nature. Then beat him about the head. If it's just your run of the mill porn site. Then, understand that men are VERY visual creatures and he may have just gotten curious. He may not have admitted to it because he was ashamed or embarassed. But, I've said it before. If that's ALL he did, then there are worst things he could be doing than looking at images on a screen.

He's obviously having an affair with Kate666.

Face it, this is just some spam he got with a video of some hottie. He probably stored it there so he could call it up for masturbation. You do know your husband masturbates, right?

OMG, Sylvia Kristel????

I can soooooooooooooo remember her character saying

"Philly... Philly... Philly..." (with accent) in some cheezy 1980's movie about male coming-of-age.
