I may even have to use one of them soon, which makes me feel a bit sick.

I'm not saying it would have saved the relationship, but I know I would have felt a little better if she'd let me know and we had worked on it. If we had worked on it and it worked then brilliant, and, if it didn't work, then atleast I'd have had a small window to prepare for a break up.
