HappyPanda Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 I posted here the other day about my future plans to move to NYC and my apprehensions of asking my boyfriend of about a year to come with me... Im just curious if anyone here has been through a similar situation. I love him. I dont want things to end... But Im completely terrified to ask him to move with me! My worst nightmare is that he'll pick up his life, move to another state with me, we'll move in together, it wont work out, and it'll all be my fault. It all just gives me a lot of anxiety. I lived with a guy once for two years, and he literally just up and left me one day without warning, leaving me with his rent and bills and completely breaking my heart into a million pieces, it took me years to get over him... I think this past hurt is partly to blame for my hesitancy. Am I just a complete commitment-phobe? How do you KNOW when you're ready to take that next step with someone??
