Imagine a place so backward that the people walk around wearing hats on their feet and shoes on their heads.

Well, not really, but judging from the posts I've read by people from everywhere else, a lot of the rules don't apply here in Los Angeles. For instance, who's supposed to approach whom... it doesn't make any difference here, because nobody does it.

Women (more than men) want to get married, right? Not in this town!

Everybody says "ya gotta get out", but the problem with L.A. is there are no good "out" places. The nightclub scene in this town is divided into exactly two types: college bars where people won't give you the time of day if you're not a student (forget lying, because they can tell if you're a student or not), and sleepy places inhabited entirely by old geezers who look like Willie Nelson and just want to get drunk.

You'd have to live here to experience it, then you'd know.

Once upon a time, there was a man, who lived in jungle, only ate fruits, and only drank the water from the only lake available there. He had no one close, and got no one to talk. One day, the water of the lake got poisoned. He drank and died.

Moral of the story:

Never live alone in a jungle?

Never drink water from the lake?

Never die?

Come on dude! We're just trying to help based on 'General Rules'. And yes, many of us don't even live in USA. The boards like this are for the people in entire world. If you want to get help specifically on the issues related with 'Los Angeles' then go to a counselor in your town.

If you have a problem, discuss it here. If that problem has some subsidiary problems (specifically present in the location you live), discuss them as well. People here will help you. Surprisingly, you got 1800 posts yourself, and you might also be 'helping' others based on the system of 'Los Angeles' and not the ones of their own towns. This is just as it is. People see the things from their own perspectives, and they try to help. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
