Would you feel like a horrible person for doing that? Even if you really liked the girl? Please be honest.

Nope. Never. For various reasons. The most significant one being that I like my friends. They're cool people that I consider pretty close to family.

That kind of stuff never ends good and you wind up without the person you went after and you also lose the friendship.. Why bring unnecessary drama into your life ?

How good of friends are these guys? If the friend dates you then his friendship with the other guy is over. I have personally seen several long term friendships ruined over this kind of thing. Guys who essentially live down the street from each other and yet are no longer on speaking terms. If the other guy doesn't care about the friendship then maybe he dates you. But if he does, then I wouldn't do it, unless you don't care about their friendship.
