Background - Been "married" now for 3.5 years, no kids, she's 32, I'm 41, she left me b/c, the infamous, "I love you, I'm just not IN LOVE with you" BS.

We had NC for about 3 month after the separation, she filed for divorce, handed me the papers, I never signed them (just to drag my feet a little). She contacted me about a year ago (and about 4 months since separating)and asked if we could get together again and try.

Well, my wife and I are STILL separated since October 2009. She lives a few zip codes away and we see each other, on average, 3 times a week. We have dinner, I stay there, she stays here, like we're dating.

Ahhhh......(&(*^*%! I'm so frustrated right now, I don't even know why I'm writing this. I know what your'e all going to say. I know in my heart that I'm not doing this right thing in staying with her and trying to make it work.

)(*_)(&*(*&()*&*)(&^...........sorry, I just realized that I'm sooo not interested in trying to type this out, and even if I did, it wouldn't help me. I have to get off this rollercoaster!

My sympathies Fitness Dude...it's hard, especially when you can already see the situation and know whichever path you take is going to hurt. No easy answer when it comes to matters of the heart, but essentially you have to do what is right for you.

Reading back to some of your old threads, I take it you were never able to get her to see an MC?

Yes, we did go to counseling for a period of about 2 months, once a week. Didn't really feel like it was helping us. Just talking about stuff we should have been talking about between her and I didn't make sense after awhile. So we stopped making appointments and just talked more.

It's frustrating for sure, I guess you always think it's going to happen to someone else.
