we started out having a long distance thing after meeting in an airport. It was very intense and we were in constant contact all day every day and night via skype video chat etc. Then I travelled down to his home town, met all his family, friends etc it all went GREAT!

 

BUT... when I returned home he suggested that a LDR was too hard as Im not due to move to his hometown for another 4 months and he didn't want to hurt me etc, I deserve the best bla bla and that he wants all the future stuff but when he has the chance to have it with someone like me he doesnt know what happens to him.

 

So i accepted this. However, he would often come on messenger and say things like "I saw on facebook that you paralell parked today!!??, well done, I knew you could do it jem, your my hero!" and make remarks about how hot I was and how he still thought of me when he, ya know..ahem!... but would never intiate text conversations or anything.

 

anyway, he was totally confusing so a week later I messaged him basically saying, I cant be just friends its too hard, dont contact me anymore. I never heard back from him. And then like an idiot 3 weeks after the message I text him just saying "howdy stranger how are ya?" he replied with "im good you? whats new with you?" so I just replied "im good cheers, lots is new! will give you a call sometime soon and fill u in"

 

then I just left it and didnt contact him again. 4 days later he messaged me out of the blue "hope all is well. any news on when you moving here? were you here in town last weekend?" (he must have seen on facebook that I was down there seeing friends) I left it a while then text him back saying "all is good matey, yeah will call u later on"....

 

SO, as stated I called him, and guess what, he never answered! 5 minutes after trying to call him I get this text from him "sorry there was a snake around (he is workin away on the mines) call tomorrow at 6.30 ok" so I thought oh hellll no this isnt on your terms anymore! so text him back just saying "haha ok, well im out straight from work tomorrow but we'll catch up soon" and ive just left it at that.

 

am I being dillusional clinging onto false hope here guys and girls?

Honestley this might not be true in your case but sometimes guys will do thing like that to get atention if there in a relationship thats going no were or even a marriage. Heres a secret about men. People always say women love atention men do too if there in a bad relationship or never get atention frome there other, they will try to seek it else were like women do. He might just be doing this to get atention without going through with cheating. Thats my opinion ask hem tell hem your through playing games if he truly cares and ant just looking for atention then he will contact you or he should!!!!

A 4 month LDR is nothing. Look at it this way: You're almost a month through it given the timeline of your post. That was an excuse on his part.

 

If he's a player... or just playing games... chances are he's not the type of man who's ready for a long term OR long distance relationship.
