aamy Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 my boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and a few months and recently we've had a bit of trouble. he told me the other day that since I am both his best friend and girlfriend, he finds anything physical weird because of how "friendly" and similar we are. I don't get it. This never used to be an issue; I figured because we were so similar and got along so well we were a good match physically.
Feelin Frisky Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 So have you been physical all this time and now he's weird with it? Or you're just getting around to getting physical and he's getting weird?

Knittress Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Seems like an excuse to justify pulling away from the relationship, to me. Is he young? Young guys especially, don't have the longest attention spans.
Feelin Frisky Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 we've been physical since pretty much the beginning. Could it be that he was just babbling some internal dialog he's having with himself and just should have probably keep this unsaid. You said it was just the other day so there's no real evidence that he has committed to treating you as only one or the other yet, no? Guys some times share things before thinking them through--this happens when they really trust their partner to give them the benefit of the doubt. You don't seem to be giving him that benefit by drawing a negative conclusion. See how it goes. Perhaps his sexual feelings have not lessened in reality at all.
