Please help me

Ok first off i'm new here so thanks in advance for reading this and helping me.

 

There's a girl in a class of mine that I like..I walk with her out to the parking lot after class, she laughs at funny remarks I make about the class and smiles when I ask her a question or am about to say something I think she'd find funny. I've intro'd myself to her and she's done the same. My problem is I can't tell if she likes me back or is just being nice.. like today for example she'll walk next to me even though i'm not saying anything to her..which I did a minute later. The other problem is I don't ever know what to talk about with her I mean usually my talking to her consists of making a silly remark about the teacher or how boring the material being taught is she really won't say much but whenever I ask a question to the teacher in class she looks my way one time last week I noticed she sat there playing with her hair..I'm very shy when it comes to girls..I'm 20 and haven't had a gf and I'd like to atleast gain a date with this girl...I literally just bit my tongue one day and started talking to her and needless to say the results have been positive in my opinion..

 

So can anyone help me on this..I mean if your a girl and one day this guy starts talking to you he can make you laugh and stuff what do you think..do you put him in the friends section or do you think he's date material?

ask her out for lunch...it defiantely sounds positive. plus if she did not care for you she would make excuses not to walk with you, and not talk back.

laughing at a guy's silly remarks is an indication that the girl is fond of you. now that could mean as a friend or as a potential mate. it depends. since you're shy, start initiating a conversation about something that you think you two could possibly have an interest in (i.e. music, movies). see how she reacts. watch for body language.
